We would like to invite you to attend a FLOODAWARE seminar presented by the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in conjunction with the Houston-Galveston Area National Weather Service. This free two hour event will teach citizens important information about flooding and awareness such as:
Flood risks Flood insurance Flood forecasts Flood warnings Watersheds in your area and their effect
This event is similar to the SKYWARN program for those who are familiar with that.
Feel free to distribute this information to anyone who would find this event informative. This event is open to the public.
Thoughts:
- Be safe as you defend your place on the highway.
- Be respectful, courteous, gentle, caring and loving as you defend your place in life.
- Say prayers for those who defend our lives, whether at war or in our neighborhoods… our soldiers, our police, our firefighters, our pastors, our friends, our families. Arlene
Someone has decided to attempt to raise donations using our name & non-profit designation.
Please DO NOT send any money through any WEB site. If you wish to participate in our effort to set up & maintain the Roman Forest Repeater, please contact us locally.

*** If you see any new towers going up or if you know of any group changing features on existing towers in our area, please let Richard or Jerry know. We are looking for an opportunity to raise the height of our antenna to extend our covered range.
Try the repeater frequency anytime you are in the Roman Forest Metroplex area. Our current repeater location is at a lower elevation than previously.
--- Help determine the Repeater Coverage Area:
If you have the opportunity, use & monitor our repeater, then go to the Tab 'Contact Us' & send a message through the Web site manager about your experience.
Jerry would like to know: the location of your radio, antenna type/height, the power output (watts), if you had a good signal with full quieting, (what your signal was like-get a radio buddy to help with this & what you heard from the repeater), if you were home or mobile, date/day of week & time (so we can tell if it was before or after an adjustment). Thanks for joining us as we prepare for fun and emergencies.
